MAA Section Officers Meeting, Wednesday, 4:00–5:00 pm, chaired by Betty Mayfield, Hood College. Section officers will meet with members of the Committee on Sections and MAA staff to share information and discuss current initiatives.

SIGMAA Officers Meeting, Thursday, 10:30– 12:00 noon, chaired by Andrew Miller, Belmont University.

Meeting of potential members of SIGMAA on Mathematical Knowledge for Teaching, organized by Yvonne Lai, University of Nebraska Lincoln and Bonnie Gold, Monmouth University, Friday 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm. If you are a mathematics faculty member and you are interested in teacher education, then you may be interested in joining this meeting about a new Special Interest Group of the MAA, focused on Mathematical Knowledge for Teaching. The purpose of SIGMAA-MKT is to build a community for those who teach courses or conduct research related to the mathematical preparation or development of teachers. This meeting serves as a networking session, as well as a discussion of current resources for developing mathematical knowledge for teaching.
