Daycare Services

Benefits for Parents

  • Want your child(ren) to learn and spend time with other children while you attend the meeting?

  • Want to leave your child(ren) in a safe environment while you attend the meeting?

  • Want your child(ren) to have fun at the meeting?

For your convenience, the American Mathematical Society and the Mathematical Association of America will again offer childcare services to registered participants. They make this program available and affordable by subsidizing this service and paying most of the cost. This gives you the opportunity to leave your child(ren) with professionals who are solely dedicated to making them safe and happy. Attend sessions with peace of mind knowing your child(ren) are having fun with other children in a safe environment provided by one of the most successful children programs in the country.

These services will again be offered through the KiddieCorp Children's Program.

Their staff to child ratios are high to ensure that every child feels special (1:2 infants; 1:3 toddlers; 1:5 school age). KiddieCorp team members are selected according to their integrity, experience, education and enthusiasm. They must be wonderful with kids! You will feel secure knowing that the KiddieCorp team is bonded and that they carry ample liability insurance.

Activities include exciting themes, arts & crafts, group games, music & movement, board games, story time, dramatic play, etc. KiddieCorp provides activities appropriate for each age group, using safe, sturdy equipment that you can feel comfortable with. Children can make their own choices with KiddieCorp's program.

Registration

The registration fee is US$30 per family (nonrefundable). Additional cost will be US$16 per hour per child or US$11 per hour per child for graduate students. These reduced child care rates are made possible to the meetings participant by the MAA and the AMS, who heavily subsidize the cost of this service, thus keeping this program affordable for families. Parents must be registered for the JMM to participate. Full payment is due at the time of registration with KiddieCorp. Register here.

The advance registration deadline is December 18, 2013. Register early as availability is limited and handled on a first-come, first-served basis. This form must be completed in its entirety and payment received before registration is confirmed. Children must be registered for a minimum of two consecutive hours per child, per day.

Cancellations must be made to KiddieCorp prior to December 18, 2013 for a full refund. Cancellations made after that date will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee. Once the program has begun, no refunds will be issued.

If parents do not pick up their children at the time scheduled or by the end of the day (no later than 5:00 p.m.), they will be charged a late fee of US$5 per child for every 15 minutes thereafter.

KiddieCorp is always available by phone, fax, or e-mail to answer any of your questions. Parents who have special rules or needs for their children must let KiddieCorp know ahead of time.
