How to Reserve a Hotel Room
Detailed List of JMM 2025 Hotels
The deadline for reserving a room through the JMM website was December 10.. If you need to make changes or cancel rooms, please wait until after December 13, and then call the hotels directly to make changes. Please note that most of the hotels have a 72 hour cancellation policy--you must cancel the room 72 hours before your arrival date to cancel with no charges. Please see the cancellation policies below. If you cancel the room after that time, the hotels may charge one night's stay.
Importance of Staying in an Official JMM Hotel
The importance of reserving a room at one of the official JMM hotels cannot be stressed enough. The AMS makes every effort to keep participants’ expenses at the meeting as low as possible and a lot of work and effort goes into negotiating the most affordable hotel rates. When a participant registers for the meeting and reserves a room at an official JMM hotel, they are helping to support not only JMM 2025, but future JMMs as well.
Reserving a Room
Registration is open. Reservations for JMM hotel blocks can only be made through the Mathematics Meetings Service Bureau (MMSB). Special rates have been negotiated exclusively for this meeting at the following hotels: Sheraton Grand, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt at Olive 8 Seattle, Washington Athletic Club, Hilton Garden Inn Seattle Downtown, and Crowne Plaza Seattle Downtown. See details on these hotels. The hotels cannot accept any reservations directly at the JMM rates listed below. Any rooms reserved directly with the hotels at JMM rates will be changed to higher rates. Reservations can only be guaranteed with a credit card. Anyone that wishes to guarantee a room with a check will have to book a room directly with a hotel at room rates different than JMM rates.
Participants are encouraged to register for the JMM before reserving hotel rooms at the JMM rates. A link to the portal will appear at the end of the registration form, after the payment section. A link will also be included in the registration confirmations sent by email. If any participant has difficulty reserving a hotel room, they should send email to mmsb@ams.org for assistance.
Accessibility
The JMM strives to take the appropriate steps required to ensure that no individual with a disability or special need is excluded, denied services, segregated, or otherwise treated differently. If special assistance, auxiliary aids, or other reasonable accommodations to fully participate in this meeting is required, it should be indicated in the appropriate section on the Registration Form or emailed to the MMSB at mmsb@ams.org. Requests for ADA-accessible rooms should be clearly indicated when making hotel reservations. All requests for special accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) must be made in a timely manner to allow staff to appropriately evaluate and take the actions needed to accommodate them. Any information obtained about any special needs will remain confidential.

NOTICE: Beware of Unauthorized Companies Soliciting Housing for the JMM
Please beware of aggressive housing bureaus and marketing groups that target potential attendees and exhibitors of this meeting. They are sometimes called "room poachers" or "room-block pirates" and these companies often position themselves as the meeting’s housing bureau or a marketing group working on behalf of the meeting. They try to convince attendees and exhibitors to unknowingly book outside the official room block. They call or email people who they think will more likely than not attend the meeting and lure them with room rates that are significantly less than the published group rate -- for a limited time only. And people who find this offer tempting may hand over their credit card data, believing they have scored a great rate and that their housing for the meeting is confirmed. Unfortunately, it is not and this often turns out to be the start of a long, costly nightmare for them.
JMM does not endorse booking hotel reservations via another company or source. These groups are not affiliated with the Joint Mathematics Meetings in any way. The only official housing bureau for this meeting is the MMSB and they would never call or email anyone to solicit reservations. The only way to book a room at a negotiated JMM rate is through the JMM registration form or through the MMSB.
JMM cannot be held responsible for any damages incurred as a result of hotel bookings made with unofficial housing bureaus and marketing groups and will not be able to assist you with any problems you may encounter with the terms of a third-party agreement.
If you are contacted by any of these groups, please email mmsb@ams.org immediately. If you are in doubt, please reach out to us immediately. Thank you for supporting the JMM 2025.
