The Marriott Marquis, the headquarters hotel for the Joint Mathematics Meetings, is connected to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center by an underground concourse.

Accommodations

For your convenience, the following information is being provided to help you prepare and budget for the JMM 2026. Reservations at these rates can only be made through the Mathematics Meetings Service Bureau (MMSB) and they will start accepting reservations when registration opens. For now, we are targeting late August for registration to open. The hotels cannot accept any reservations directly at the JMM rates listed below. Any rooms reserved directly with the hotels at JMM rates will be changed to higher rates. All rates are in US$ and are subject to local and state taxes.

Beware of Room Poachers and Housing Scams

We want to alert all potential attendees and exhibitors about unauthorized housing bureaus and marketing groups-often referred to as "room poachers" or "room-block pirates." These entities may falsely present themselves as the official housing bureau or a partner of the Joint Mathematics Meetings (JMM). Their goal is to lure attendees into booking accommodations outside the official room block by offering significantly discounted rates for a "limited time only."

These deceptive tactics often result in attendees unknowingly providing credit card information, believing they have secured a legitimate reservation. Unfortunately, in many cases, the reservation does not exist, leading to financial loss, lack of accommodations, and significant frustration.

Important Reminder: The only official housing bureau for JMM is the MMSB. MMSB will never contact individuals via phone or email to solicit hotel reservations. The only way to book a room at the negotiated JMM group rate is through the official JMM registration form or directly via MMSB. At this time, registration for JMM has not yet opened.

JMM is not responsible for any issues, financial losses, or damages resulting from hotel reservations made through unauthorized third-party vendors.

Additional Hotel Information

The deadline for reserving a room through the JMM hotel reservation (Passkey) website will be December 11. Changes and cancellations can be made through the JMM reservation website until December 11. After December 11, please wait until December 14, and then call the hotels directly to make changes. For questions, please email mmsb@ams.org.

Reservations for JMM hotel blocks can only be made through the Mathematics Meetings Service Bureau (MMSB). Special rates have been negotiated exclusively for this meeting. The hotels cannot accept any reservations directly at the JMM rates. A link to the hotel site will appear here when registration opens. Participants are encouraged to register for the JMM before reserving hotel rooms at the JMM rates. A link to the hotel site will also appear at the end of the registration form, after the payment section, and a link will be included in the registration confirmations sent by email. If any participant has difficulty reserving a hotel room, they should send email to mmsb@ams.org for assistance.

The JMM strives to take the appropriate steps required to ensure that no individual with a disability or special need is excluded, denied services, segregated, or otherwise treated differently. If special assistance, auxiliary aids, or other reasonable accommodations to fully participate in this meeting is required, it should be indicated in the appropriate section on the Registration Form and details emailed to mmsb@ams.org. Requests for ADA-accessible rooms should be clearly indicated when making hotel reservations. All requests for special accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) must be made in a timely manner to allow staff to appropriately evaluate and take the actions needed to accommodate them. Any information obtained about any special needs will remain confidential.

An email confirmation will be sent when a reservation is made. It will include a passkey confirmation number and a link which allows participants to make changes to their reservations until December 11, 2025. Participants who register and reserve a hotel room by October 31, 2025 will be included in a lottery to receive complimentary hotel room night during the meeting; number of nights to be determined. Rooms with multiple occupants will be included. The winners will be notified by phone and/or email by December 19, 2025.
